The medium-duty Renault Maxity trucks have been produced by the French manufacturer Renault Trucks since 2007 until present. The maximum authorised mass of this commercial vehicle is 7–8 tons. The model is manufactured in Spain and replaces its predecessor Mascott. Cabstar and Atlas are twin models produced under the brand name Nissan.

Among the advanced driver-assistance systems, there are electronic stability programme, Hill Start Assist and lane departure warning system.

In 2011, the manufacturer introduced a version fitted with an electric engine. The MAM of those vehicles is between 3.5 and 4.5 tons. These trucks are ideal to be used in urban areas as they do not produce harmful emissions. The vehicles are equipped with a lithium-ion battery and can run about eight hours without a recharge.
