IVECO EuroCargo I-III trucks

The Iveco Eurocargo vehicles are medium-duty trucks: their maximum authorised mass is in the range between 9 and 18 tons. They have been produced since 1991 in Italy, Spain, Great Britain, Brazil, Argentina, the RSA. These trucks replaced the Zeta/TurboZeta model. They are sold under the name Tector in South American countries.

I generation (1991–2002)

The distinctive feature of the new vehicle was a modular design of the body which enabled the manufacturer to offer a variety of model versions. Tipper lorries, mobile cranes, fire engines and some others were available body styles. Apart from the standard cab, it was possible to order a double and an extended one with an opportunity to mount a sleeping berth. The MAM of the first vehicles was 6–15 tons (up to 17 tons in Great Britain). They used water-cooled Tector engines equipped with the Common Rail fuel injection and selective catalytic reduction systems. Iveco Eurocargo trucks had the following axle configurations: 4 × 4 and 4 × 2. In 1997, the updated vehicles marked as MY 97 appeared. Among other things, the manufacturer improved the braking system.

MY 2003 (2002–2008)

The appearance of the vehicles from that generation was designed together with car styling company Bertone. 4 cabs were offered: the standard one, with one or two sleeping berths and an enlarged one called MLD. The latter could accommodate a driver and 6 crew members. In 2004 and 2006 the Tector power units were improved due to which they conformed to the Euro 4 and Euro 5 emissions standards.

MY 2008 (2008 - present)

A lot of black elements appeared in the exterior and interior of these vehicles, the generation was called All Blacks. Tector power units used there conform to the Euro 5 standard and are fitted with the SCR and Common Rail systems. Besides, there is a heated air inlet and a variable-geometry turbocharger. Fibreglass has been used in order to reduce the weight of cabs.
