Types of rear lights for trucks
By design:

- LEDs are highly demanded due to their low power consumption and long service life. It may reach 100,000 hours. They feature fast activation, which has a positive effect on the truck safety.
By reflector type:
- Complex-shape (divided into several sections). Each of them has specific optical parameters. These items ensure uniform illumination.
- Simple. The light source is located exactly in the focal point of the reflector.
- Double. It has two reflectors, one behind the other. The first is responsible for creating the main beam, and the second - for the background lighting.

Failure of the elements is indicated by dimming or absence of light after turning on. External mechanical damages of the diffuser or fasteners can be identified visually.
