Unsatisfactory condition of the component is indicated by extraneous noise in the area where it is located. Besides, failure may often cause overcooling or overheating of the truck engine. In the former case fuel consumption increases, in the latter – the coolant temperature rises. When this happens, the driver will be alerted by movement of the corresponding gauge pointer.

During diagnostic of the electric device, condition of its circuit is checked with a circuit tester. This allows detecting damaged wires. Besides, the device is connected directly to the battery. If it doesn't start working in this case, the motor is faulty.
